PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE PUBLIC LOGIC AND ACCURACY TESTING OFVOTING AND TABULATING EQUIPMENT FOR THE AUGUST 26, 2008 PRIMARY AND MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS

The Sarasota County Canvassing Board will meet at the office of the Supervisor of Elections, 2001 Adams Lane, Sarasota, Florida, at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2008. The Board is convening for the testing of the automatic tabulating equipment and reporting software to be used in the August 26, 2008, Primary and City of North Port Primary Elections.

In accordance with the Sunshine Law of Florida, the meeting will be open to the public.

NOTE: §286.0105, Florida Statutes, states that if a person decides to appeal any decision by a board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
